Élephante is a modern Italian restaurant located in Santa Monica, California. It’s been open since 2016, and it’s known for its fresh, seasonal Italian cuisine, its extensive wine list, and its vibrant atmosphere.
Élephante was founded by two friends, David Rabin and Jason Neroni. Rabin is a former investment banker, and Neroni is a former chef. The two met while working at the same restaurant, and they decided to open their own restaurant together.
The name “Élephante” comes from the Italian word for “elephant,” which is “elefante.” The name is a reference to the restaurant’s large, open space and its vibrant atmosphere.
What makes Élephante unique?

Happy hour and brunch specials
Élephante offers a happy hour from 4pm to 7pm, Monday through Friday. During happy hour, you can get glasses of wine, beers, and cocktails. The restaurant also offers a brunch menu on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am to 3pm. The brunch menu features dishes like avocado toast, huevos rancheros, and pancakes.

Corkage Policy: Bring your own wine! Élephante charges a $35 fee per bottle (two bottles per table max). Magnums incur a $70 fee. Outside beverages, except wine, are not allowed.
